หลาย ๆ คนคงเคยใช้งานและเคยอ่านบทความ การใช้งาน VMware vCenter Converter มาแล้ว เมื่อสิ้นเดือนที่ผ่านมา VMware vCenter Converter Standalone ได้อัพเดทเวอร์ชัน 4.3 ออกมา ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่ก็เป็นการแก้ไข feature ต่าง ๆ ให้รองรับ vSphere 4.1 รวมถึงการตัด Operation System เก่า ๆ ออกไป

• รองรับ VMware vSphere 4.1
• รองรับการ import แบบ powered-off จาก Microsoft Hyper-V R1 และ Hyper-V R2 virtual machine
• มี API และ sample code สำหรับ สั่งงาน และ monitor งานที่ convert อยู่
• รองรับการ import source จาก Windows 7 และ Windows 2008 R2
• เพิ่มความสามารถในการถ่ายโอนข้อมูลจาก Source ไปยัง Destination โดยอิงตาม network bandwidth หรือ CPU
• รองรับ IPv6

Feature ที่ยกเลิกการรองรับ

• ไม่รองรับ Windows 2000 และ Windows NT
• ไม่รองรับ OVF format
• ไม่รองรับ VCB image sources
• ไม่สามารถติดตั้งบน Linux Operating System ได้
